For me, a highlight of high school was the 9th grade Biology insect collection and classification project. I can REALLY get excited about insects! I think my enthusiasm was transfered to my 3rd- 5th graders as we closely observed bees and a black hornet. Students discovered that insects are more complex than they had imagined. Bees have furry legs!
